Wyatt is ONE!!!

Well. He is now a one year old. I can't believe how fast this year has flown. It also means that we've been in Kansas just over a year, and that too seems unreal. We had Jane and Ed here for a little family birthday party and it was fun to just relax with them and watch the boys...well, maybe not relax, but at least have other adults around to talk too! :)

I'm pretty sure Sawyer enjoyed the cake WAY more than Wyatt. These two were a sticky mess after.

Ghetto homemade hats.

This is one of my favorite faces that Wyatt makes. It's a mix between annoyance, frustration, and amusement. And perhaps a little boredom too.

Sawyer saw me walking with the camera and stopped me and said "mom, take picture train sawyer" and sat there and smiled for me?!! I almost died of shock. Usually it's IMPOSSIBLE to get anything but a blur as he runs by.

I don't know how the game got started, but for some reason my boys (jim included) think it's really funny to fake sneeze and act like it got all over their faces. ??? Wyatt, when his mouth isn't too full, takes part also. Here is just a little peek at the nerdiness.

And of course, what would this post be without a little video of the birthday boy (and brother) eating cake? Wyatt wasn't really into it...he'd rather eat veggies. Weirdo.

Rain Rain...

...STAY FOREVER!!
These boys LOVE cucumbers. These beauties are from Grandma Jane's garden, they snuck into the fridge together and went to town. When I went in search of my two quiet boys, camera in hand because when they're quiet it usually means trouble, this is what I see.
I love the rain. Always have, always will. If I had my way it would storm EVERYDAY! Ok. Maybe just 4 times a week, that way the boys wouldn't revolt and destroy the house.
Wyatt was sleeping during the storm so he is absent from photos and really missed out.
Jim came home from work while we were out enjoying the storm. As you can see Sawyer LOVES his daddy.

As soon as the thunder died down he was out there splashing around in little kid heaven.

I am always impressed with his building skills. I figured I'd show them off. He loves his blocks and is always making what he calls "new house" and then putting his cars and animals in these new houses. Very impressive...I know.

Ahhh my little contortionist. I find him in the oddest place sometimes. I think he got really bored while I was updating the blog. At least it wasn't markers again.

I like this video because at the end of it there is a loud thunder (that you can't hear well over the rain) and Sawyer gets really scared and comes running back to me telling the thunder "no! no!"

He never stops "talking", one of these days we might understand it all. For now, it's Chinese.

I'm really trying to get a good video of Wyatt walking. No luck so far. This is the best I've got. But I'll keep trying because I love when babies first start walking and they do it with arms up in the air looking like a monkey.

And Finally!

Ok. These are going to be out of order but oh well.
Here is the front of our new house!! It's actually funny because this road we now live on leads directly to one of our favorite parks so we've driven it a lot and every time we did I would see this house and want to live in it...well, now I do!! :) The whole street is these cute older looking cottages. Very nice neighborhood. Don't mind the yard. Jim hasn't had time to mow. Poor boy. It's also a very decieving house. It looks small...but it's really big with LOTS of storage!

So on to the kids. We live outside in our swimsuits. It's so hot all we do is play in the water. And Wyatt eats dirt. And rocks. And leaves. And really whatever he can sneak into his mouth when I'm not looking.

And after he's done eating, he goes for a drink...

The women who lived here before us did a TON of gardening. So our yard is just filled with flowers and vines and veggies! Love it. We'll see how long I can go without killing everything.
The neighbors behind this fence have a little yappy dog that Sawyer likes to sneak peaks at. And our other neighbors have a duck and a chicken that he LOVES to harass by throwing wood chips at. He runs outside yelling "duck! chicken!" And if they're in hiding turns around with a very sad look on his face. Lots of fun here!

On the side of the house there is this little half screened in porch with a ceiling fan that is a lot of fun...now for some furniture! Not sure what Sawyer is watering...probably bugs.

Isn't that the saddest face?! I don't even remember what he did (it was just yesterday too) so he's in time-out.

Our pretty window seat. I'm going to buy some padding and make a cover and some pillows for it one of these days.

Our fun back yard. Left is the garage. Straight ahead is a gardening shed.

My boys are obsessed with these cowboy boots and wear them EVERYWHERE...

Literally. Thanks Grandpa Ed!!

And as I'm typing up this post this is the disaster that walks in. Oh Sawyer. I guess we're back outside for a hose-down.

This was at our old house as we're packing up. They table and chairs were gone and so we were eating on the floor. Wyatt was strapped to his booster seat and started crawling around...I guess being fed takes to much time. Oh, and I love Tina's witch laugh... :)

We're still alive

Yes. It's been a while. We've been REALLY busy with this move. For some reason my boys have decided to turn into little devils instead of the angels they usually are...they yell at me ALL DAY, for no reason. Awesome. So, needless to say it's taking me FOREVER to get the house unpacked and put together. Soon though. I have been tempted to put a post on craigslist: FOR SALE 2 boys. $1. For the set. Anyone reading this interested?
LOVE the new house though! I don't feel like I'm going to be shot at going out to my yard. Oh, and the boys are now sharing a room...not from lack of space by any means...it's just good for them. Though, I might have a nervous breakdown if Sawyer doesn't stop getting into bed with Wyatt and pretending he's in the WWF...(and no my kids have never seen that, just trying to paint you a picture) There is a lot to do to make the house our home but we'll eventually get there. I'll get some pictures posted soon. My poor husband has been SO BUSY with work and school that he was just barely able to get the computer up for me. Thanks babe!
By the way. I'm going to be in Utah next month for like, 3 weeks or more and I am SO FREAKIN EXCITED!!! I miss the mountains and the dry heat. Oh. AND my mom and dad!! :) Can't wait to see everyone out there! I'll get pics on the next post!
